It’s easy to tell when a restaurant genuinely cares about its guests, and Athens Café does exactly that. We came to celebrate a close friend’s birthday, and the staff went out of their way to make the evening memorable by surprising us with a complimentary dessert. It was such a thoughtful gesture and one that wasn’t expected but was truly appreciated. I ordered the chicken wrap, and it was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. Everyone at our table enjoyed their meals, and the service was warm, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. In a city with so many dining options, Athens Café stands out because it combines delicious food with genuine hospitality. If you’re looking for authentic Greek food and a place where you’re treated like more than just another customer, this is absolutely worth a visit. We’ll definitely be back.

Wonderful experience! Laid back atmosphere and delicious food. From the fresh bread with olive basil dip to the spinach pie appetizer and the chicken kabobs with veggies. For desert some delicious homemade cookies and assortment of baklava pastries you will love. The owner Urban waited on us and his wife Victoria who works the masterful cooking came out to greet us and sent us home with some cookies. Delightful!!!

By far, the best gyros ever. If you’re looking for a real experience, just stop by, order your favorite item from the menu, and I promise you’ll be amazed. My favorite item is the gyro sandwich. It’s huge, so make sure you bring your appetite!

I had been hearing about Athens Cafe for quite awhile and decided to celebrate my birthday there. We went for lunch. Was seated right away upon opening. Owner, Victoria seated and served us. She had great recommendations for a cocktail, as I asked her to surprise me. She made a Olympian Elixir and it was so good. We started with a basket of bread and dipping oil, OMG! So good. Delmades to start, they were so big I brought 2 home. Meals ordered were beef stew, 2 people got the gyro with fries and I went there knowing I was ordering the Pastitsio, and it did not disappoint! As a birthday treat, Victoria brought out some baklava and a Greek coffee. If you've never had Greek coffee...you'll want to get some! We're already talking about going back next week! 😀

Great Find off the beaten path !! Don't let the older shopping center around this restaurant scare you away. Wow - an incredible experience while visiting Jacksonville from Florida's West Coast.   Server Claudia was very friendly.  Greek Village Salad terrific, grilled calamari delightful, Chicken soup with rice great,  Souvlaki Awesome and pasta dish with feta cheese sauce magnificent. The portions were so generous and the prices were MORE than fair.  If we lived in the area we would dine here REGULARLY.   Give this place a go - you will not be disappointed ......   come hungry.
